I am an abstract painter and enjoy the process of exploring how to represent images of the natural world with vibrant color and organic forms. Painting gives me a freedom of choice to interpret what I see and to express something that I can’t always put into words. I strive to achieve a cohesive work that represents the subject in a fresh way. I am an intuitive painter and find that the best things happen when I am responding with an open and accepting attitude to the process of painting. Painting involves making many decisions along the way; some are conscious and others evolve on their own if I’m lucky.
